Presented with acclaimed collaborative pianist Susan Ellinger, Unsung Voices celebrates the rich and often overlooked repertoire of women and LGBTQ composers. This concert features works by remarkable women composers — Alma Mahler (Fünf Lieder), Clara Schumann (Sechs Lieder, Op. 13), and Cécile Chaminade — all gifted composers and brilliant pianists. The program also includes Home of the Brave by contemporary composer Ricky Ian Gordon, a reflection on identity and resilience. Presented as part of Church of the Western Reserve’s Concert Series.
